Owning first home - help please

I bought my first house 2.5 years ago. Built in the 1960s. There was a couple of things in the survey which I've acted on like brickwork and mortar that needed replacing. But I feel like I dont know what I'm looking out for with a house and I'm worried that I'll miss something. Are there certain things I should be checking all the time? I know obviously if I notice something is obviously broken then I will get it fixed but what do I need to do for general maintenance? I did get the gutters cleared recently. Sorry if these sound like stupid questions, I dont have anyone in real life to ask. Thank you

How old is the house?
Worth going up in the loft every so often to check no rain is coming through etc. Our roof was on its last legs and got it replaced in the nick of time, but had to wait for dry weather!

Make sure gutters are cleaned, chimney swept, boiler serviced and radiators bleed before winter. Also drains are flowing freely and not clogged. You can fix the rest as you go.

I don’t do anything other than get gutters cleaned and boiler serviced. Anything else will be obvious.

Basic maintenance could be:

clear & check gutters before autumn
clear drains of leaves
Clean windows
check the loft for drips
get the boiler serviced
get the chimney swept if it is used
check smoke alarms every three months.
check draft excluders and seals around doors
general redecorating and cleaning

Other than that, there's not much to do until something goes wrong
