Random compliments to strangers

Do you ever give them?

would you like to receive them?

I was walking through my local high street earlier and I saw a woman in a really nice dress, it looked perfect for the weather and it really suited her.

I briefly considered saying as much to her, but didn’t at the risk of looking like a weirdo.

For context, I am a woman so it probably wouldn’t come across as if I was being predatory, so hopefully it would be taken kindly.

Yes, always !
Both giving and receiving ( though there are less of the latter 🤣).

I complimented two women's outfits fairly recently. One of them looked a bit put out and the other looked happy and warmly thanked me. So it really depends on the person.

I'm always happy to get a compliment but more often than not it's from a drunk person or someone who looks like they might be homeless!

I don't usually interact with strangers but at one of the supermarkets I go to one of the regular cashiers, ( so not really a stranger) was wearing some very pretty, small, but dazzling earrings.
I complimented her on them being very pretty, and she seemed really pleased.
Another time, I complimented a cashier on her lovely silver band rings, and I held up my own hand ,snap, very similar rings on my hand too, which amused us both.
One time going through yet another cashier, the cashier complimented me on my rather unique necklace which, sadly, kind of made my day.
