A family has moved in next door and there's now a lot of (mostly high-pitched) noise from children playing outside for much of the day. Normally if there's outside noise (chainsawing, garden machinery etc.) I put on a YouTube video of a rackety train, which blocks it out really well and I actually find it quite calming. It doesn't seem to work nearly as well for children's voices, though.
Has anyone found a white noise machine that's particularly good at masking this kind of outdoor noise? Or is there another type of sound that's more effective for that?
