Do you cement your child’s swing in the ground?

My DC has a swing in the garden, a pretty large one with an oblong seat. Initially it was held onto the ground with spikes but the ground in my new build garden is like clay so it didn’t hold.

Paid for someone to set it in concrete and this hasn’t worked either, the concrete didn’t set and cracked in the heat, the swing ended up almost on the floor!

What does everyone do? It’s now on the grass but I’m a bag of nerves thinking it’s going to tip over!

I put one of those big rubberised mats under it. Despite very vigorous swinging if never tipped. It dug itself into the ground. I did eventually switch it out for a giant circular swing which hung from one point and seemed more stable

When I was a young child my Dad cemented my swing I to the ground. I also cemented my DC swing and climbing apparatus into the ground.
