Never been so pleased to be a bit chilly!

Probably the most boring thread ever but I practically skipped upstairs to get a jumper on, and am currently sat under a blanket. It’s actual bliss to not be hot, sweaty and sat next to a fan for 6/8 hours a day!

Anyone else faintly ecstatic to be feeling cold for the first time in about 3 weeks?

Yes it’s comfortable and am looking forward to a decent sleep for a change, no knitwear for me here though !

decided July was a good time to go on a holiday and it’s 35 during the day and no lower than 29 at night here and we still have a few days to go yet 🥵

I was already struggling in the Uk with the heat due to peri and an autoimmune issue that means I can’t control my body temperature so it’s been absolute torture for me.

when we go bak I see it says we are due another bloody heatwave 🤦

I actually needed to snuggle under my duvet last night. Wonderful.

You're not wrong. It is going to be a chilly 12 degrees tonight. Might have to get the winter duvet out tonight!

It’s still hot here but it’s comfortable rather than unbearable. It feels lovely. I love it.

@EasternStandardvery much agreed on that, I go climbing indoors and there’s no air-con at any of the walls I go to. I had to stop going when it got to above 27c-ish as it was impossible. Today was the first day I’ve been where I didn’t have to leave due to the heat.

It’s still 25-26 degrees in my house so definitely not jumper weather, but much more comfortable than it has been for the majority of the past month!

It was grey, cloudy and slightly chilly this morning. Loved it!

It was 22 degrees today which was lovely. I’ve really struggled with the extreme heat, it made me very tetchy and I was constantly worrying about the kids burning etc. I’m hoping it’s like this for the rest of summer, this is what British summer should be like!!

Can you also have some rain, nighttime would suit. Lots of light rain to help the gardens please

I’m on holiday somewhere it was 18 today rather than the 30 it’s been every day for a month where I live.

I was happy with it until I put conditioner on my hair in the shower and the hot water (Emersion heater) ran out and I was standing in the shower literally shivering until I rinsed it off. REALLY FUCKED OFF and cold for next two hours until I warmed up.

Yes, 19 today in this part of East Anglia. I was overjoyed to shut all of the windows as feeling a bit cold. Looks like a pleasant 22 all next week too.

Yes, it's actually been perfect here (south east) this past week, nice and cool in the mornings, then pleasantly warm until 8pm then coolish again. Do need some rain though.
