I converted a small first floor room into a mini laundry room but the spin cycle literally shakes the whole house. My bathroom vibrates, the toilet seat bangs like there is a poltergeist taking a shite, if anyone leaves a cup on the sink it vibrates off and often smashes.
I have the washer and dryer stacked but not touching. The washer is underneath with a shelf built above it with the dryer on top.
There is a gap. Should i bring the shelf down and make it tight so there is no gap?
What can I do?
DH says the joists that the washer is on run under the adjoining wall so the bathroom is on the same floor planks thats why it shakes so much but surely all floors are like that? Why didnt our whole kitchen shake previously?
