I see where someone is coming from upthread about The Wombles. I'd choose Tobermory out of their names, as it sounds like a fine name to bellow across the park, or to be called out when he goes to see the vet!

I have a soft spot for pet names that get, "That's not a dog name!". I always champion John as a good, solid name for a dog. Unfortunately, all of mine have been girls so far! Rodney, or Roy, might also suit him.

I would go for Gary (Oldman) but I think it's a frowned upon name so "Barry"
