Anyone done a late flight into Stansted recently? What time should we book a cab for?

Any info appreciated.

Land at midnight (Sat into Sunday)
2 adults
3 DC
3 cases
All on UK passports

Any idea how long it will take to get through? What time should we book a taxi for?

Never travelled with the DC snd haven't flown for years.

I would ask the cab company. They will have loads of experience collecting people from flights so will have a much better idea.

They’ll ask for the flight number and keep a track on it so they don’t send your cab driver too early or too late.

I find it costs a little more to be collected like that, but also it’s peace of mind and knowing someone will be waiting for you and can help you to the cab.

Or you can risk Uber collection, but you will end up waiting and won’t have any help getting to the cab.

I'm trying to book with a cab firm (who specialise in airport transfers) but it doesn't let me proceed with the booking unless I enter a collection time. I do also have to enter flight arrival time but the onus seems to be on me to decide the time we are collected.

I'll give them a call on Monday before I book.

Oh that is an annoying booking system. I’d just say 30 minutes after landing time. I doubt you’d be lucky enough to get through in 15 minutes if you are waiting for cases, but if you were it wouldn’t be the worst 15 minutes wait to have a wee/get a drink/buy a pint of milk from M&S.

We did so a couple of weeks ago. 30 mins is our norm and it was perfect

Experienced and reputable cab companies monitor the flights so know when to pick you up. Phone them beforehand to confirm this
