Is there a decent cheap alternative to apple air pods that cost less than £25?

Just that really. Need something for listening to music without annoying everyone else.
AI recommends these, any other thoughts or suggestions welcome.

I was going to say Anker Sound core ones, they are excellent.

ToKittyornottoKitty · 18/07/2026 16:24

They seem fine, my son has them. If they hold charge well and play music I’m not sure what else you need

DisaL · 18/07/2026 16:25

I don't have that model, but mine are Soundcore and I really rate them so would definitely recommend the brand.

I’ve got these, by Btootos on Amazon, currently 19.99, have got 20% off. They’re brilliant, have a google @HotHotterHottest . My son has expensive Bose ones, and it’s hard to tell the difference.

TallagallaPenguin · 18/07/2026 16:47

We’ve had both the btootos ones and various soundcore ones. Both great.

These are the btootos ones we got https://amzn.eu/d/0gf7j4I3

Great for £20.

One son had some more expensive soundcore ones and they were brilliant until one earbud just randomly went down to tiny volume, we tried everything and couldn’t fix it so they sent us a new one, great customer service. Then they did it again, they sent another new one out (after we sent the broken one in for checking) and then they did it again a third time so we gave up on them. Excellent responsive customer service and quality but got fed up of them breaking!

I have the £20 Soundcore ones and they're great. Really good quality.

MMAMPWGHAP · 18/07/2026 16:49

I have Anker too. There’s an Anker Refurbished shop on EBay too.

Anker Sound core here as well. I have the p20 and p30. I prefer the p20 slightly more. Dd also has the big over ear headphones.

I really like the quality of Anker and often on sale on Amazon.

PolkaDotPorridge · 18/07/2026 17:41

I have AirPods and they’re forever falling out. Interesting to see alternatives.

Ovoemconserva · 18/07/2026 17:46

I got some for £18 from Argos they were half price and they are soundcore probably not in the same league as apple etc but I find them perfectly adequate.

HotHotterHottest · 18/07/2026 18:26

Thank you.
Do they look slightly weird when you wear them or is it just this photo off Amazon?

I bought some super cheap ones from TKMaxx for £12 (I think the brand is Mixx) and they're absolutely fine. I only bought them as an emergency replacement, but I haven't bothered getting any other ones as they're perfect for what I need.

Iheartmysmart · 18/07/2026 18:37

@HotHotterHottest They are more obvious than air pods but I wouldn’t say they look weird. I wear them running so need to be aware of my surroundings and traffic so they are perfect for that. They don’t fall out my ears either unlike the blooming air pods!

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 18/07/2026 18:53

I got some airpods on vinted- not new without tags as thats usually a sign of a scam. But good used condition., cleaned with new ear pieces for 15 quid.
