How can I get a musty smell out of second-hand drawers?

Hi, looking for some tips.
I bought these drawers second hand but they smell a bit musty inside. I’ve cleaned them and let them air but they still have a strange smell.

What can I do to get rid of the smell?
I might keep lavender bags in there but don’t have any to hand right now so looking for other tips.
TIA!

Sounds like you’ll never feel comfy wearing them, so best to get rid. 😎

I think wiping over with black tea and letting them dry. I’m sure I read that somewhere. Something about the tannin.

Lavender bags in drawers?! Surely that’d cause irritation there.

🤪

No, but seriously, cotton bags of bicarbonate of soda would help get rid of musty smells.

Sunlight would be my go to! Leave them out in the garden for a day and change the angle of them every few hours to make sure strong sun hits everywhere!!
