Holiday booking

Wanting to book a holiday for 7 days. Most only have 5 nights - hotel website only 5 nights. On the beach has 7 nights- how is this possible? Is on the beach good to book?

I’ve just been looking on EasyJet, TUI, Jet2…. All have 7 nights, that’s the standard usually… I booked 8 nights 😊

What do you mean 'most only have 5 nights'?

You can usually book as many nights as you want to in a hotel, from 1 night to weeks/months on end?

Plus unless you're going to a less busy area out of season from a small UK airport, there's usually flights every day so you can do Tuesday to Monday, Saturday to Saturday, Sunday to Monday, whatever you like.

OTB can be OK but I don't like how it's not live flight booking and I've heard they're not great if something goes wrong.

The cheapest way is probably flight only then direct with the hotel after joining their loyalty programme if they have one, but occasionally an airline package might be cheaper.

Which hotel are you looking at?

Have another look at the websites, you can totally book a 5 night break on the ones you’ve mentioned.

You can book as few or as many nights as you like - depending on flight/hotel availability. I would double check the requirements you've set on the website.

Is this for a late deal? It may be fully booked?

Can you not just book a holiday? Like look when the flights are. Book them. Find an Airbnb or a hotel and book it. You can generally do it for any dates you want as long as flights go from your chosen airport on those days. You don’t need to use booking sites.

Go to On the Beach, there will be list of durations such as, 4,7,10 and 14. Underneath this is the option to pick a different duration normally up to 21 nights.

They may prefer to book a 'package holiday' for the ABTA protection - possibly 🤷‍♀️

But even with a package its never always 5 nights. If anything you might have to stick to 7, 14 or possibly 10/11 nights if you're going somewhere without lots of flights but I've never seen anywhere that's majority 5 nights.

How would that even work? Either flights go on different days each week or the hotels have 2 nights a week when they're empty. The OP must be mistaken.

It's possible the OP is looking to go somewhere and it's right at the end of their season meaning flights stop operating so the only option for her departure date is 5 nights.
