I’m looking at going to a Christmas market beginning of December. I’m not fussed where just wanted recommendations really. We have done Sweden already. It’s for myself partner and 20 year old son. He’s really easy going and not demanding. He’s happy exploring. Ideally going from Heathrow or south coast

Denmark at that time of year looks lovely.

Bruges was lovely . The actual Christmas market was hugely disappointing but the town itself is amazing . They had decorated so fairy lights were everywhere, beautiful architecture and it was just so pretty and magical . We had a lovely weekend , eating , shopping ( we found a lovely Christmas shop ) . Canal ride , walks . One bit of advice if you can is prebook restaurants as it was busy so we couldn’t just walk in and expect a table .

Montreaux is stunning. We visited Geneva last December and are so glad we took the train to visit as Geneva’s market was hugely disappointing.

Strasbourg or Krakow

Innsbruck is small but lovely, likewise the city itself. If the weather is clear the descent over the mountains is amazing. Try and avoid a weekend though - it gets swamped with Italian coach parties. And as above, you need to pre-book restaurants.

Cologne is brilliant.

We went to Prague. Lots of other things to see and do as well. This year we’re going to Vienna.

Prague was lovely but I believe Seville has one (and it’s warm too).

I’ve been to Frankfurt and Berlin and both Chrimas Markets were great, plus lots of other things to explore in the city too.

Copenhagen is nice.
