Would you react how the lady in the white top and black jeans did?

Note to self: avoid 'Spoons in Scunthorpe.

Good grief 🙄

Nolongera · 17/07/2026 13:06

No, I would be telling the bloke on the ground to stop resisting as he isn't going to win.

This is from someone trained and used restraint many many times.

Summerishere123 · 17/07/2026 13:10

No I wouldn't assault police officers and make the situation worse. Who is that helping? This video doesn't really tell the whole story though so its easy to say from an armchair.

WishYou · 17/07/2026 13:12

Id be sitting drinking my little prosecco eating my 3 small plates and ignoring my idiot (ex) boyfriend/husband

meowie39 · 17/07/2026 13:13

This video is so old, are you her?

you Would have to pay me a lot to dress how she did . Think her jeans are 3 sizes too small

Would I assault police going about their work? No, I absolutely wouldn’t. I would raise concerns if I had them about police behaviour.

You posted this before. You obviously know this woman as you insulted her outfit and appearance on that post too.

KateBushAgain · 17/07/2026 13:20

What sort of responses are you expecting ?

Like why was a taser used. Bit extreme. If that was your partner who got tased and was fighting wpuld you break up with him

Some people here are just so very nasty and unhappy it seems.

I doubt that the general Mumsnet demographic would be in Weatherspoons and certainly not in Scunthorpe

Waitingfordoggo · 17/07/2026 13:26

I’m not sure whether the officer is supposed to be punching the detainee like that- I really know nothing about policing at all. But I daresay this bloke deserves to be arrested and restrained (just not sure about the punching).

Either way, no of course I wouldn’t dive in and assault an officer, but then I wouldn’t associate with the sort of man that gets into a fracas with police and nor would I go to Wetherspoons, so I’m unlikely to ever be in this scenario, luckily.

Unlike mental health, police are allowed use strikes.
I quite fancy a drink in wetherspoons in scunthorpe now.

Guys fighting in a pub and one of the guys get tased. The girlfriend is fuming about this and starts punching the policeman

Absolutely no way on earth I’d be with a man who was fighting in Wetherspoons!!

I don’t care what happened beforehand, just walk away!

TheCurious0range · 17/07/2026 13:40

Good God if my husband ever got himself into this situation he wouldn't be my husband anymore. I certainly wouldn't be punching police officers doing their job.
As for the taser you don't see what's happened in the fight prior that led to police being called, if he's threatened he is in possession of a weapon etc. He will have been warned more than once if he didn't do as asked he would be tasered. He made that choice.

Error404FucksNotFound · 17/07/2026 13:43

If that was my husband?
Id gather my things, pretend I didnt know him and leave.
