Should I get a refund for a delayed farm food delivery?

I get my shopping from a farm each week and they use 24hour delivery through royal mail or something. It includes meat which is most of the value of the order. I was supposed to get it yesterday! There is no sign of it arriving and I haven't had an email to say it's out for delivery. I know it's only 1pm but it's passed the time that the postie would come now on their route. Royal mail are unlikely to deliver until next week now.
I get another box from them on Thursday as well so I won't have the time to use what's in the box when it's so late. I might need to do an emergency delivery from another shop. This is one of those stressful situations in life where it doesn't go to plan. Should I be entitled to a refund

Have you called the farm?

Have you called the farm?

I should've mentioned I tried to and after ringing out for ages the call ended before I could get through to anyone.

24 hour stuff is generally delivered separately to then normal postie route. I’d give them a bit longer yet

Call the farm, see what’s gone wrong, see if anything is being delivered today, if not decide if when they can next deliver is ok, if not suggest a refund for full order and delivery, go out and get some meat locally, whether that’s to tide you over until order arrives or replace the whole lot.

Be nice on the phone, it’s likely not to be the person who answers it fault. And if you are nice they will try and help more.

Or have a vegetarian weekend and let the stress float away.

I would request a refund purely on the basis that the meat stuff would have gone off if delivered past the 24h cool bag thing.
