How much spending money per adult for an all inclusive week in Spain?

Idle curiosity question of the morning. I’m not going on holiday but just wondering what kind of spending money per adult is required if AI? Assuming no day trips to nearby cities.

If we’re planning to stay on the hotel complex and not go anywhere then €0-30. I’ve only ever spent money when we’ve gone to the beach for an afternoon and then only coffee/ice cream. We don’t use the resort shop except possibly a chocolate bar that isn’t available in the uk.

You could spend €0 you could spend €hundreds. Really depends what you want to do.

Depends… are you going to leave the hotel?

If no… £20 for bits like air hockey, the bingo, a hat.

If yes… £100 for food etc

When we've been away AI we go days spending nothing but might go out for dinner one night and will bring back different sweets ECT for family
We have a habit of getting new mugs on holiday so in total maybe £15 a day averaged out but it would likely be one day where we spend it all

What's your plan? Last year we spent over £1k as our hotel was crap and we needed to escape but a couple of years back we only spent €30 on a few drinks at the beach - our hotel was v kid friendly and we barely left.

I'd say on average we spend €100 - €200 as I ideally like to go out for lunch or dinner one day and do some sightseeing/activity.

We’ve done AI a few times and have varied between spending nothing to spending £100 depending on the weather, whether we leave the complex and how much we remembered to bring from home in terms of sunscreen, chargers….

If it’s AI and you’re not going anywhere then what are you spending anything on?? When we do this kind of holiday the only thing we spend money on is trips or things to take home like souvenirs or snacks.

The whole point of AI, if you are staying in the complex the whole time, is that the only money you need is for tips. We always tip the bar staff early in the holiday. If you are going to the local market you might need some cash but all the shops take credit cards. However, please take a card with you. Just in case of emergencies.

Just depends really, last AI we went to we spent around 30€ a day we went out had a coffee or a beer maybe an ice cream, the Ai before I bought clothes and a bag from Mango as well as the odd coffee bus fare. etc. We do day trips sometimes the prices vary

Depends of you are going to do things like have a massage, evening stroll for a cocktail at a local bar, buy an inflatable etc?

We went on holiday recently and spent very little. We did use some of the cash we took with us to pay the tourist tax (€2 euro per person per night where we stayed). Other than that we only bought things like bottles of water as that wasn't included in our all inclusive package. And a few more euros for buying a little souvenir to take home. I spent more in the shop at the airport on the way home than during the rest of the holiday

Nothing really. We have only spent money on day trips/ice cream etc on day trips when we go AI, also gifts and souvenirs if you want any.
I think we took €100 last time in cash and gave the kids €20 each, day trips paid on a credit card

Oh yes Tourist tax i didn't include that in daily spending.

When we've done AI we've still wanted to go out for a couple of days so factor in lunch/drinks etc. I couldn't walk into a hotel, then not leave for 7 days! Would drive me mad.

You could leave without spending money, eg to the beach, for a walk. Many AI hotels will supply picnics, so you wouldn't even need to buy food/drink outside the hotel if you chose not to.

But this is another question where the answer is between £0 and possibly thousands if you choose to go out on shopping trips or expensive activities like diving or helicopter rides.

I was AI earlier this year and the hotel food wasn’t great - the wine was rubbish too and I’m definitely not a wine snob!

After a few days I gave up and spent a fortune going out which wasn’t the plan, luckily I had my credit card with me.

If the hotel had been nice I’d have probably spent 10 to 20 a day then maybe allocated another 100 for the excursions.

Does depend on how happy you are to stay mainly in the hotel I suppose - whole point of AI is that you should need very little.

Last AI I was on I spent about £200 on the spa. Then about 20 on spare change for DD in the arcade and things like that. Then food in airports and plane either side.

How long is a piece of string?!
dh usually take a week or 10 days AI holiday each year, just the 2 of us. But we treat it as a base and do a lot of activities and trips off the resort and spend between 1-2K depending on where and what we’re doing.
If you don’t want to leave the resort at all and aren’t planning on buying souvenirs etc then £100 for tips, tourist tax and a couple of bits from the resort shop should cover it.
