The ref is Messi’s favourite. FIFA are co rr upt so however hard we try I feel it will go in Argentina’s favour..prob a dodgy penalty and an England player sent off for good measure

England are the better team though

I don't think we'll win. Everything is given in favour of Messi. We'll have the ref to contend with

i am not optimistic for england

What is the conspiracy with fifa and Argentina?

They did say today no Argentina decisions have gone to VAR this world cup.

If Messi's dangerous tackle in the first or second game had gone to VAR he'd probably have got a red card and a suspension so the conspiracy is that it didn't.

TokyoSushi · Today 18:24

I’m going all out, we’ll win tomorrow and we’ll win on Sunday, 2-1 both times, both games will be a nightmare with all sorts of incidents, more so tomorrow, but we’ll do it!

Anarchy99 · Today 18:25

Fingers crossed we lose. Badly.

And then everyone can get on with their lives

ThatWasNoMicrodose · Today 18:26

It is sad for the hardworking and talented players of Argentina and the fans who support them that all their achievements are invalidated by these claims.

It could go either way and both England and Argentina should feel proud of reaching this stage of the tournament whoever wins tomorrow.

It's a huge disadvantage but, short of the referee scoring the goals himself, there's a limit to the level of disadvantage. If England plays really well as a team and if (assuming the ref is biased) they avoid giving reasons for him to come down harshly we could do it. I do think we need to play better than we played against Norway (I say we. I will be eating crisps)
I can remember how negative everyone was about the Mexico game.

Such an odd take. What part of life have you put on hold for this? If England only lose by a narrow margin will that not be enough for life to go back to normal?

Ezzee · Today 19:01

2-0 to them.
Then I'll have to support Spain (hopefully ) and get the 43 out... any excuse!

FindingMeno · Today 19:08

1-1 draw. No change in extra time.
We win on penalties.

UniquePinkSwan · Today 19:09

3-0 argentina. Hopefully.

That’ll be a nail biter. I can’t watch England and penalties..

Hatty65 · Today 19:10

2-0 Argentina, sadly.

I think our performance against Norway showed we will struggle against them.

Like the England goal against Norway that should ever have stood because it hit the wire?

Hotdoughnut · Today 19:11

Lose on penalties, the pressure is too much

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · Today 19:13

England will WIN!

or they may LOSE!

or it will go to penalties, and then it's anybodies guess, although the Argentinian's do have exceedingly large hands...

the80sweregreat · Today 19:17

It’s all stacked against them winning isn’t it.
At least it’s all over on Sunday and I can forget about football until the Euros and it all starts up again.
At least the kick off times won’t be silly o clock for those ones.

An increase in hooliganism, thuggery, litter and domestic violence.

Same as Christmas then. So, your point is?

SpottyAlpaca · Today 19:18

It’s going to be very close. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it goes to extra time, and possibly the dreaded penalties.

Heart says 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, obviously, and I actually think we will have the edge. England to win 2-1 in extra time.

Where did I say I put my life on hold?

A major loss would shut everyone up for another four years.

the80sweregreat · Today 19:35

Everyone will be quiet for two years , then it’s the Euros !

Fizbosshoes · Today 19:39

I think England will score early.....then Argentina will equalise in the 2nd half, and it will go to et
