On my sun lounger and thinking about little improvements I can make when the new school year starts. Any genius beauty/lifestyle/home/recipe hacks? I don’t have loads except

beauty:
*Brazilian blow dry/keratin for hair- has saved me in this weather
*Lumea laser thing to zap hairs
*kiss core French petite nails - cheaper than gels, look v natural, far less damaging and no filing down needed, buy kiss brush on nail glue instead of the one included and they won’t come off for ages

Lifestyle:
*atomic habits book to encourage small but lasting changes

home:
*this steamer for getting summer dresses and linen clothes crease free https://amzn.eu/d/00Ik0Wmv

food
*this recipe never fails me. I skip the added spices and just use patak’s korma paste. Make at least once a week. Serve with loads of yoghurt or it’s a little dry

A great one-pot rice dish that still tastes great a few days later – perfect for leftovers

My game changer is to get up 60 mins before your kids start to wake up.

Use the hour to exercise/prep dinner/ do some gardening / drink a quiet cup of tea.

Drink more water.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

@NemoNerd are you naturally an early riser? I aspire to this but my kids wake up at 6 as it is and 5am is a no from me

Set up shaded areas for your ddogs..
Add full frozen style ddog bowls outside.

Pick up ddog bedding and line air it.. all day.
Less ddog hair and ddoggy odours indoors!
And get lots more done without paws underfoot...

  2. marry rich
  3. plan life from sunlounger !
malloryknox123 · 14/07/2026 15:00

You can do all of those things. I hope they bring you some peace and dopamine hits.

Any more adverts for Amazon products, or is that it?

beewaspfly · 14/07/2026 15:12

@istherereallytimeforallthat yes I’m a bot working for Amazon. Or maybe it’s just a quick and hopefully helpful way of showing the products I’m talking about instead of directing you towards the now closed-down shop in the random village I passed through on a trip four years ago

@beewaspfly There's been a remarkably high number of posts with links to Amazon products just lately, that's all, so you can understand why I might have thought that!
