We are having friends round at the weekend will be about 30 of us and I will get pizza delivered. What shall |I put out first, any ideas? I am thinking dips and nachos, crudites, hot sausage rolls, onion rings, wedges and spring rolls, olives, Caprese salad sticks, cheese pineapple sticks, peanuts. Doesnt sound great so any alternatives or ideas most welcome!

That sounds like a meal in itself! Crisps, olives, dips and drinks are absolutely fine right before pizza

I would do veggie sticks and dips ( because there not much veg in pizzas )

Those starters are too filling for pizza.
I would do watermelon wedges and crisps
Get a few boxes of ice pops for after.

It will be lovely

Sounds a bit much, and a bit random, like you were clearing out the freezer.

I'd ditch the spring rolls and cheese and pineapple on sticks, probably also the sausage rolls. Perhaps have some green salad available for the pizzas, you've also got crudites so enough veg for a party. It doesn't have to meet MN nutritional standards.

Make sure you get a good selection of pizza toppings with decent alternatives to pepperoni that's not just margharita. The toppings selection on delivered pizza is usually abysmal, with 18 different processed pork choices, spicy chicken, also shite, maybe one veg option that's usually contaminated with sweetcorn, which doesn't go on pizza and a couple of variations that are variations on just cheese. So get something that's not any of those.

Any dietary requirements?

I think some bowls of nice nuts, crisps and dip would suffice. I'd be surprised to see all the food you've listed if I knew pizza was on the way. A salad or pasta could be nice to serve alongside the pizza if you want to add to it.

@Bjorkdidit that comment about the freezer was brilliant!
Thanks for all the replies I can see now I have been way over the top.
I think I will do crisps, dips, nachos, nuts, olives, caprese sticks and crudites and the lovely melon idea suggested by pp and a salad with the pizzas.
Does that sound ok?

Gazpacho shots?

Came on to say prosecco🥂 but see you mean food🤣

I make pizza from scratch when entertaining as popular/requested, we just drink prosecco and have crisps, olives, nuts, and anchovies for people to help themselves whilst they are cooking and salad and still wine to go with it. Keep it simple and enjoy the company is my philosophy😀
