Are you aware of the game Cheese on Wheels?

Ohhh tell me about it. We love a car game.

I don’t have a yellow car, but we play bing, bong, boo, where the kids have to shout those words if we see a yellow (bing), green (bong) or orange (boo) car. Points are deducted if the wrong word is shouted for the wrong colour car 😂

I'm not playing, I just wanted to say it before Arthur.

We play Cheese on Wheels whenever we are out and about, and I wondered if the drivers are aware of people pointing at their cars!

I used to drive my son's old mini (a proper Mini, not the modern version) and people used to wave at us but I can honestly say I don't notice anyone pointing at my current car.

I have a yellow car and people do point, but I had assumed it’s because my car is a bit unusual and has some daft after market features. But maybe it’s just because it’s Cheese on Wheels?

We used to play 'yellow car, mini, taxi' when our DC were young. We even made little cards for the DCs so they could keep a tally. Kept them amused for hours on our regular journeys to see family and going on holiday - those heady days before smart phones!

My DM had a yellow car in the 70s, when they were unusual.

Many years later, when she had dementia and I took her out in the car anywhere, she’d say ‘I had a yellow car!’ every time we saw one.

My kids do yellow car no returns and thump each other

I was once in the car (in the front) dp driving and adult ds in the back behind me

My shoulder was numb from him thumping it and I told him to pack it in as it was hurting

We play yellow car or Fiat 500. NO PUNCHING! A point for either yellow car or Fiat 500 and 1 million points for a yellow Fiat 500. Well, we used to play but both DC have driving licences now so aren't in the car with me and DH won't play. I miss it.

DH and I play yellow car on car journeys. DC, now grown up, used to play along! Hours of debate as to whether the car was in fact verging on green or whether an AA van can be included. I also play driving on my own! No thumping

This is what we did as kids

I have a yellow car. Bought so that many siblings would be punched playing the yellow car game. I work in schools, I try not to leave or arrive when lots of kids are around as the local a&e is overwhelmed as it is.

I used to have a yellow car, it was called "weebo".

My best memory ever is seeing a convoy of minis on the opposite way on the M40, and scoring which involved a lot of doubling and redoubling.

I was aged about 49 at the time.

Probably only beaten by the Harry Potter buses!
Or maybe the (empty) Arsenal buses heading to the stadium.
