If Count Binface won, would a bin count as armour?

Genuinely can't cope with this by-election any more. Count Binface has called the Commons dress code "binnist" — and it turns out there's an actual statute from 1313, still in force, that forbids MPs from entering Parliament wearing armour. Nobody has ever ruled on whether a bin counts.
A finance site's "constitutional desk" has now done a full briefing on what happens if he wins. The oath is a problem (he can't hold the Bible — no hands). The benches are a problem (he doesn't bend). And apparently "the Clerk of the House has begun drinking."

They've also timed how fast he could comply with the register of interests "by physical demonstration, on the floor of the House": under four seconds.
Polling day is 13 August. I need him to win purely to watch the Speaker handle the armour question.

But he does have hands, and he can sit (he was sitting on Newsnight).

I heard there was a campaign among MP's to provide a 'Binface exemption' so he could show up in Parliament dressed as Binface.

Their argument was all his policies were made by Count Binface, so that's who should stand, not the man inside.

Just call the bin sides a “very large collar”, and add fur to the bin lid then call that a wig, and he’ll be well within the rules.
the bin costume has no defensive qualities so cannot be called armour in any sense.

Well, as I see it, armour is PPE. A bin isn't. It's a waste disposal receptacle.
