Ideas for a family break with teens near freshwater swimming and riding

We are making a last attempt at a family break away with slightly reluctant teens this summer. Where might I find the following:

•either camping or other accommodation, anything considered
•walking distance to a swimmable lake, river or other freshwater swimming (pond, reservoir etc)
•riding / hacking for experienced as well as more novice riders
•walks in beautiful nature, any terrain
•decent mobile coverage

Any ideas, please?

Tregoyd mountain riders has amazing hacks in a beautiful area. There is freshwater swimming in locations in Wales. BUT low water levels really affecting water quality at the moment

Ah, that's great (and not too far to travel!), thank you. Good point about water levels. There's a sweet spot somewhere between low water level risk and the risk of sewers overflowing when there has been wetter weather. I'll look into Tregoyd!

I loved riding there. No road work and nice horses.

Cantref near Brecon also does treks. Not as good as tregoyd.

Or Trans Wales, if you want a real adventure. Although availability may be tricky now and weight limit 12 stone as all Welsh sec d so quite small

Stithians Lake in Cornwall has camping; there are lots of riding schools in the area and mobile coverage seemed ok.

Or you could try the New Forest Water Park.
