Pros and cons of switching to a coverless duvet

I want a coverless duvets because at the moment, I wash my cover and it's so creased. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to iron it.. what are the pros and cons of a coverless duve. Noticed that hotels use them and they do raise all nice and smooth. Some people say i'm here you can wash them , but mine would not fit in my machine and I would dry clean it , but the only problem with a coverless duvet is if you get bored with looking at the same caver , you can't change it for a different pattern or colour , you have to buy a whole new coverless duve

Due to us both being disabled we were sick of fighting to put on duvet covers. It would mean a great lot of effort that made us feel exhausted.
Coverless duvets can have different feelings. The first we bought is a light thin duvet yet it is 12 tog. Its amazing we both love this one its a neutral silver grey colour.
Second we bought was okay but the cover was a nylon style that we kept catching rings, toes etc on it. It went bobbly and we have discarded that one.
Third is a lovely fluffy navy blue with blue and white striped on the other side. It is quite big but it fitted in our machine no probably. Its only an average machine but still fits it.
It is the best thing we have ever bought. I find that using a sheet under the duvet to save on washing was not very good and seemed to stop it working properly not to mention the sheet kept wrapping round us like a shroud!

If you don’t like fighting with the duvet (they aren’t easy) why not have a normal duvet with cover and use a top sheet underneath to reduce the frequency you need to wash the cover.

My DS have them and we have 3 for the 2 of them so one gets washed on a Saturday and the other on a Wednesday and one spare. In winter they get washed every 10 days as use a sheet underneath. Both my washer and dry fit um and I have a big utility room I can hang if raining. The only downside is the drying and you need more than one, so chunky to store. We have spare bedrooms so have the space so not a issue here.

Me either, how do you wash them?

I love mine, it's so soft and warm even though it's quite thin. I got it because I was fed up of all the faff changing the bedding. Mine fits in the washing machine though and dries really quickly so it's so fast to change bedding. Especially in this weather, it can be washed, dried and back on the bed within 2 hours.
