I’ve had the procedure before but it was several years ago & I can’t remember much about it, apart from the discomfort. Any advice would be welcome.

None of this is true! I've driven home several times when I didn't have sedation. And I usually get the results on the day and leave with a letter for my GP. The only time you won't get the results on the day is if a biopsy is taken. Even then they will likely say if it does or doesn't appear concerning, where they have found eg polyps, is there diverticulitis, yada yada. I literally watch the doctor writing it up.

Agree with this, we usually tell the patient what we’ve found. If it’s likely to be cancer then the patient is told that is likely to be the case and will be confirmed via urgent biopsies.
You cannot drive after sedation, you are usually kept for 1hr post procedure and then you are required to be escorted out and then we request someone is with you for the first 24hrs.

Moviprep. Have to do another litre early tomorrow morning.

Edited

Make it up tonight and put it in the fridge so it is ice cold when you drink it tomorrow (put a bottle of water in there as well so you have cold water to wash away the taste). It makes it a lot easier to drink

Yes, was in the fridge overnight. Now starting second lot. I am using lemonade just a tiny sip after each drink.
