Heard about Ann Widdecombe death and discussing it. DH said thd motive was burglary gone wrong . I said it was entitled male behaviour. A woman robbing her home wouldn’t have killed her.
I have no stats tk back this up….-any help?

Look at statistics by the ONS and the prison service.

The Office for National Statistics state that ''Women were more likely to have experienced violent crime.''

''Men make up the vast majority of the prison population at 96%, with women accounting for just 4%. In contrast, the majority of women entering prison (69%) are serving time for non-violent offences, typically theft or fraud.''

Agreed. Whether it was burglary or not, it's not a good time to be a woman. Some men have so much hatred for women, and - as you say - attack or kill. Politics aside, nobody deserves what happened to her.
