Do everyone's hot flushes go into over drive when it's hot?

I've probably been in peri menopause for a couple of years, maybe longer. Not too many issues, some night sweats and a brief spell of hot flushes, which I thought had passed.

I know we're all hot and uncomfortable, but I seem to be getting loads of hot flushes on top.

E.g. I'm laying in a nice draft, in a shaded room watching tennis. It's warm but not that uncomfortable. Then all of a sudden I'm burning with literally rivers of sweat running down my face. I understand getting sweaty when exerting yourself but this is new to me. I'm having to mop myself up or put myself under a cold tap several times a day!

100% - my Oura ring keeps pointing it out too, as if I didn't know! I am in a fresh pair of PJs (vest top and short shorts) every night and same goes for my pillow cases and duvet cover even though I am top of everything (at least I don't have to worry about the fitted sheet!) I have a fan on, a flannel, blinds closed... it does not make a difference. I am up six or seven times to refresh the flannel and splash myself all over! Hot flashes a go go - and during night and day!

I totally sympathise and am experiencing the same thing!
I am really struggling, am drenched by the time I've driven home from work. It definitely seems like the heat is triggering more flushes for me.

No as I’m on HRT. Never had a flush since starting it age 43.

I'm now post menopause and still like this. If I get out of range of my fan then it's literally dripping off my forehead. I hate it.

That's lucky, I'm on HRT and still get them.

I'm 53 and just coming out of perimenopause, the last two summers have been dreadful and I'm usually a very chilly type of person, in the autumn and winter I wear several layers and carry a hot water bottle with me 24/7 but these last few months I have felt as though I've been lit alight from the inside out and rolled in honey, I'm constantly sticky. Three showers a day were normal for me this last week.

Thankfully I'm by the Suffolk coast this weekend and feel a normal temperature for once, it's bliss.

@Arlanymorthat’s rubbish! I’m probably stating the obvious but that’s possibly a sign you need a higher oestrogen dose.

Thanks lovely, we're upping it and upping it - it just takes long. Am supposed to be on three gel pumps currently but I am going to email the surgery after the past two weeks and ask if I can increase to four.

I'm also on HRT and bit had any problems with hot flushes. It's a subtle distinction, but I have never had the stereotypical hot flushes, but can have a tendency to overheat in certain situations, e.g. getting overly hot when climbing a mountain and the sun is shining straight on me. It used to happen quite often when I wore my patches on my thigh as they would come off, and I would soon know about it! Since wearing them on my bottom, they don't come off and I no longer overheat.

I am 4 years post menopause and still struggling with hot flushes, no HRT. Strangely my seem better in the hot weather, very strange.

I'm 56 and the hot flushes are so bad in this heat. I'm sitting there hot but mostly ok, and then suddenly I break out in a sweat everywhere - but dripping down my face and neck. It's horrible. I'm not in menopause yet and keeping thinking "how much longer can this go on!".

This was me in the garden yesterday evening. Thought I’d do a bit of gentle weeding and my started dripping immediately!

Not so much hot flushes, but my face literally pours with sweat in this heat when for most of my life I haven’t been a person who sweats much at all. It’s absolutely doing my head in!

I’m nearly 50 and on HRT.
