What’s a song that you love but you can’t listen to because it breaks you.
I’ll go first
Someone you loved Lewis Capaldi.

"Are Friends Electric?" by Tubeway Army. Released in 1979, the same week my dad died very suddenly and unexpectedly. Far too many painful memories for me.

Wish you were here - Pink Floyd.

I can't listen to it without being reduced to tears thinking of my late DH.

PYT - Michael Jackson, it's one if my favourite songs for the beat etc. but for obvious reasons, I can't listen to it anymore.

Didn't read the 'breaks you' bit, but I guess in a way it does!

Edelweiss. I sang a version (with me lyrics) to the cat I ever got, when she was a kitten
She got run over at 18m and died after a very traumatic rush to the vets.

I haven't been able to listen to it since and it's been a decade.

And yes, I'm crying now.

For a Friend by The Communards - breaks me every time

Dance with my father.
My dad died of cancer when I was a teenager and he had taught me to waltz when I was very young. He was very patient.

Into My Arms - Nick Cave
A Wave Across A Bay - Frank Turner
Poke - Frightened Rabbit
Teardrop - Massive Attack (we played it at DH’s funeral)

Road Rage by Catatonia. When we got back into the car after my mum died in hospital, my husband started the car and it was on the radio. Almost thirty years now and I'm back in that moment if I hear it.
