Guinea Fowl- first time cooking/trying it

Anyone have tips on recipes or cooking it? I love trying new things/recipes so giving it a whirl.

This is gorgeous. Don't be scared of the amount of garlic cloves. I'd probably have it in the autumn though.

Does it taste like chicken or a gamey chicken? I've read mixed reviews.

Gamey chicken. Best pot roasted in my experience, as it’s very lean.

Agree with gamey chicken but it's not that strong. Just a deeper flavour.

I really like Guinea fowl. I just roast it with streaky bacon on top. It tastes like chicken used to taste….chickeny.

Thanks everyone. I went with the recipe @SwedishEdith and @PandaG recommended with the 30 garlic cloves. When DH saw the little bird, he asked where the other one was! We thought it was delicious, but I somehow expected more depth of flavour. Very nice though.
