iPhone - parental controls that also stops texting and calls?

DD has an iPhone and we currently use Custodio to try and restrict her phone use. It is locked during the day whilst she is at school and also from 10pm until 8am.

Custodio restricts data usage so she can’t be on the internet, but she can still call and text.

Can anyone recommend a parental control app that restricts the whole phone please - except maybe in an emergency?

Use the screen time features, you can restrict calling to allowed contacts during downtime.

I use family link but we all use Android phones so I don't know if it works the same on apple
I can lock their devices, restrict certain apps but they can still make emergency calls

What is the point in her having a phone?

Why can’t you just remove the phone from her at nighttime?

She has her phone after school until 10pm, is that not enough? 🙄

I think because it’s too late to start doing that as we’ve not taken her phone off her at night before now.

To be fair it’s not been an issue until now. It seems she is up well past midnight on the phone to her boyfriend (they see each other at school every day).

I will do this if it’s the only option, but don’t want a daily fight to get it off her that’s all.

We use the iPhone parental controls, our child can only text or call mum & dad after 9.30, other than that her phone is locked. Use the screen time limits and set downtime.

It’s not too late to start removing phone or taking away if she can’t obey your rules

tho I find shutting down phone via iPhone controls at whatever time works so 10pm for you - only number she can use /call is mine

We just had a house rule that no one had phones in their bedrooms. This included adults. I only made an exception to this for myself when my mother was in a care home on end of life care.

I'm curious about the brand name Custodio, Sounds like the name for a criminal ankle tag.

Well I suggested she leave her phone switched off in our room tonight and she didn’t put up a fuss so that’s a relief.
