I’m doing chicken (peri peri and jerk as kids wont eat jerk and I don’t like peri peri)
salad and slaw and sweet potato fries (for two) jacket spuds for the other two and broccoli and corn on the cob.

we concur on strawberries and cream for pudding.

does anyone else have to deal with minor adjustment bullshit when cooking? DH is doing it all btw I’m just hot, grumpy and thinking ‘just piss off and eat a bloody jacket potato’ while they moan about what they will and won’t eat…

Jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise and salad

Turkey and lentil bolognese that has been in the slow cooker most of the day

The kids (all adult btw) are out with the grandparents tonight, so DH and me are living it up with frozen pizzas. Mebbe some coleslaw if we're feeling extra.

Salmon with new potatoes and salad. DD will have a quorn breaded thing whichever can go in the airfryer with the salmon and the new potatoes in the microwave so nothing on the hob or main oven.

Rose harissa meatballs with giant couscous (an all-in-one traybake), dollop of yoghurt, shirazi chopped salad.

Chicken, bacon and mushroom creamy pasta. 15 minute meal. 5 year old likely won’t eat much of it so he’ll have bread and butter because I don’t cook two meals. But maybe he’ll try today!

Home made pizza because I’m a masochist who likes having the oven on in a heatwave

-English lamb chops
-Minty mange tout and peas from the garden
-New potatoes from the garden
-Debating a cucumber/tomato salad from the garden or other veg 🤔

Its just DH and myself and we eat everything, so no picky food issues

Popcorn and a cherry magnum.

I don’t feel like proper cooking, so we’re having breaded hake, potato croquettes and peas. Something I don’t have to think about and the hake was cheap!

Chicken mini fillets marinated in Greek yogurt, tomato purée and curry powder, with salad. Served with fresh green chillies and more Greek yoghurt. Yum.

Moule Marininere with crusty bread 🥖

Salmon in the air fryer with cous cous with added lemon and coriander and salad. Will probably have poached salmon tomorrow too - it’s too hot to put the cooker on.

we’re ordering Chinese.

the kids normally eat really well but currently only want to eat bowls of crushed ice and bowls of Cheerios. I’m 36 weeks pregnant and our oven is broken and the airfryer generates too much heat. DH is on sports run with dc until 8 and has taken sympathy in me looking and feeling like a beached whale, so I don’t have to cook. It’s currently 37 degrees in our house

Spaghetti bolognese. It wouldn’t be my first choice but DS wanted to make it as part of his skills preparation for food tech GCSE next year. Hopefully we can eat it in the garden and have a strawberries and ice cream for pudding.

Egg and beans on toast.

Hmomemade macaroni cheese with peas. Ridiculous in this heat but hotly (literally) requested by the teens.
