Busy roads with cars parked along one side

As I get older, I realise I actively avoid busy roads where cars are parked along one side. You need to judge where there is a gap, if it’s a big enough gap and sometimes come across cars coming towards you not taking ‘right of way’ into account.

Is this a thing? I’m generally a confident, capable and happy driver, able to drive on motorways and long distances without issue.

I avoid them too and I never used to. I think driving a slightly longer way is easier if there is no need to stop and start constantly to give way.

No I don’t avoid, I’ve got no other choice in the area I live.

it doesn’t bother me that much, I also drive a van quite often and it’s like playing dodgems.!

I avoid going to a certain slip road going home from work.
. It is a huge circle before u even get to the actual road. Who thought that was a good idea is an idiot. U cannot get up to speed at all. It’s on the main road to the docks so full of Lorries and no one moves over to let you out. After a year of nearly smashing into things. I now take a different route even if it takes me longer.
