Hello, i am recently retired, age 56, and have applied to volunteer for SJA. I have been invited for an interview. Is anyone here a volunteer for them? What is your experience? I'd like to have some insider intel before I commit...

Yes I did and my kids did cadets.

they have a unit structure and usually meet once a week in the evening but you don’t have to make all of those.

there’s a variety if volunteer roles including going out on first aid cover (you need to be trained but they run a lot of training courses), helping with cadets (teens) and badgers (primary age).
