If you've clicked on this thread, then you know.

You HAVE to be in the room where it happens this summer.

Leslie blew me, and the audience, away last night. He had a full 3 minute standing ovation before he sang a note. He had to restart the opening number. The atmosphere throughout the whole show was electric.

My 4th time seeing the show. My first time sobbing through the majority of the second half.

You could tell Leslie was living his best life being back on the Hamilton stage again. It IS his role.

If I were you, I'd beg, steal, borrow or barter and get yourself to a show this summer.

What. He is performing in London?! I didn't know. Saw the show for the first time in Richard Rogers theatre Broadway last year. Amazing and my only regret is I wasnt familiar enough with the songs. My family has been obsessed since, DS at one point learned ALL the lyrics to the whole show. He also listens to LOJs other music which is good. He made a cameo in Abbott Elementary FYI. He is very sexy!

I'm going tonight and I'm so excited! After seeing Sam Ryder and Billy Nevers and co last night at JCS I think I might combust!

We've come down from Aberdeen and it's been worth every penny so far! (Might have seen Caberet at the Kit Kat Club and Oliver! as well..)

We have to make the most of it when we travel! I’ve done four shows in two days before too 🤩

Oliver is mind blowingly good. Cabaret out of this world.

Nothing compared to Hamilton with Leslie though...

(I'm seeing JCS on Saturday so no comment on that from me! )

Well this thread was hiding 😳 but 👋. I am going mid August its a friends significant birthday and we are stupidly excited.

LarkspurLane · 16/07/2026 12:37

Saw him a few days ago. He was absolutely fabulous! I was worried he would stand out and make others look bad but he took everyone up with him.
I've seen it a few times, second time with Stephenson as Hamilton and I thought he was the best first time I saw him. He seemed even better this time.
I won't make it back to see him again, but Hamilton is the only musical I want to see again straight after seeing it. This time was no different.

Leslie actually looked at me at one point - I felt like a teenager again!

What a selection! Oliver and Cabaret are both just incredible aren't they... haven't got tickets for JCS 😫

snoopydoopydo · 16/07/2026 15:17

I'm going in August, it'll be my second time seeing it live and I'm already a bit worried about how emotional I might get!

We have honestly been blown away by each performance. I got back to the hotel last night and booked tix for the JCS tour that said I didn't need to go to as I was already seeing it! 🙈

I would cut off my own arm to see Leslie live. The man is a generational talent.

What I find really amazing is that when playing Burr he does something with his face (the fake smile I think) that makes him look kind of ugly and twisted. When I saw how he looks in real life and he's just gorgeous - made me realize what an incredible actor he is, that he could make me think my eyes were telling me it was not a handsome handsome man in front of me!

If your son knows guns and ships I'm very very impressed. I've been trying to learn it for literally years.

I came across someone doing G&S in Japanese on Instagram the other day. Didn’t know I needed it but it was wild!

I have seen this, we obviously have asimilar algorithm

AutumnLover1990 · 16/07/2026 16:58

Very meh about him. I don't think he's the best in the cast personally. Could be that I didn't like his songs as much as others? Much preferred Daveed Diggs.

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 16/07/2026 17:29

Two more weeks until I am finally in the room where it happened, I cannot wait!

We are seeing Beetlejuice the night before im hearing good things. 🤞

I had to look up which song that was and yes he can do that one, he obsessed over it for a while, including putting on an annoying French accent. He wants to be cast in the role of Lafayette when he grows up. At least that was what he said last year when he was 12. He has since quit musical theatre because its all girls and teachers made him dance so I think his chances are slim...

PiggyPlumPie · 16/07/2026 22:53

OMG!!!!!!!!!! That was wow! I have no words! Locked eyes with Leslie, who is mesmerising! His performance is so much more than the filmed Disney plus version. The emotion and the humour!

And! Thomas Jefferson blew me a kiss!

I don't know how I'll sleep tonight.

I think maybe it's a young person thing. Both my children (now adults) have been able to sing the whole score since pre COVID times.

All I can contribute to guns and ships is

LAFAYETTE!

I know all the words but can't say I could perform it, or make it sound very good 😂

PHENOMENAL!

Third time seeing it live (inc on Broadway) and this was the best yet - blew the others out the water.

The whole cast was amazing - don’t know if LOJ brought everyone else up just by being on stage with them or if they were already just a brilliant cast, but either way, they were incredible.

Couldn’t take my eyes off LOJ whenever he was on stage.

Lovely at the stage door afterwards too, but the stand out ones there were the actors who play Lafayette/Jefferson and Washington - they stuck around for absolutely ages and signed every single programme thrust in their faces.
