Husbands thong tan

Bit of a strange one for you all..... Don't judge, I just want some advice please. Last night my hubby got out of the shower and I noticed a tan line on his waist and bum. It was obvious to me as a thong/gstring tan line. I didn't mention it to him. He does occasionally use tanning beds before we go on holiday to build up/prep his skin for the sun. I don't know if I should mention it or forget about it? Part of me wants to know if he bought underwear for this purpose or if he's borrowed mine.

You're married... How can you not say - "Have you been wearing my thongs on the sunbed?!".

His response should tell you everything 🤣 It doesn't matter either way. Are you sure he's not had a spray tan in a paper pouch, that sounds more likely.

No I'm positive he hasn't had a spray tan. He's a little burnt on his back, it's deffo sunbeds.
I get he probably doesn't want to burn his bits, but I don't want to embarrass him over it. If he'd said something to me I'd have got him some underwear or even suggested a sock maybe. I don't know 🙈

I would be worried that my husband is stupid enough to use tanning beds and would definitely say something.

I think they give out paper ones. I'm sure they did when I went there but that was like 5 years ago.

I don’t even know sunbeds still existed!! Why on earth would you buy him underwear or suggest something that’s not underwear? He’s an adult, I’m sure he can buy his own clothes. You sound a bit controlling!

is he very self focused in terms of looks? A gym nut? Some of those steroidy blokes who is obsessed with their looks but pretends to be macho?why can’t you speak to your own husband? does he get angry? Or does he cry? When you ‘embarrass him?’ Do you normally walk on eggshells?

do you have an unbalanced relationship? This has to be a wind up or else it’s quite concerning. 99.9% of women would howl with laughter if they saw that and get the ick immediately. Also most men would have mentioned in passing to their wife the discomfort and ridiculousness of ‘having’ to wear a thong in a sun bed.

If my husband said I had a tan line I would just say ‘yes I have’ or ‘oh, have I?’

My ex used sunbeds too. He used to have a similar mark. I’d asked him about it and he said he was always naked in the sunbeds but thought it must be to do with the way his bum cheeks spread when he lay down on the plastic

his was more of a very narrow white strip in the middle of his cheeks. There was nothing any the waist or sides.

he was very open about this type of thing and no reason to lie

Honestly OP I'm struggling to understand how you ever communicate about anything of a personal nature if you really think asking him about this is too embarrassing. Is your normal conversation limited to purely mundane practicalities?

He is your DH why would he be embarrassed. Just ask. Have you been on a sunbed recently I can see you have a tan line it looks like a thong.

Sunbeds do not build up or prep your skin for the sun.
Sunbeds will most definitely increase your risk of skin cancer. They should be banned.
