What would you do about a broken iron without receipt?

I bought a new iron, same brand as original one. Sometime in the last six months but I can't remember where I bought it from and don't have the receipt. I think it was Argos or Sainsbury's. Argos is inside Sainsbury's. It's a Russell Hobbs. But it packed up. It worked fine a week ago then yesterday nothing.

What would you do?

Check your bank statement or online argos account and arrange a return

Can you contact the manufacturer?

Did you use a nectar card? That keeps records and can be used for returns.

If it was from Argos there will be a record on your Argos account so check that.
Otherwise show them your bank statement etc

If it was Sainsbury's I would have yes.

Does it just need a new fuse?
