Heatwave and neighbour noise

I can’t take this heat any longer. It’s forecast to be boiling all week in London next week and not much cooler the week after. It’s so damn hot and the neighbours are so noisy every night with kids shouting and screaming in the gardens till 9.30-10. My own kids are exhausted and struggling to sleep as a result. It’s just really grim and I feel very depressed and struggling mentally that there’s no end in sight 😔

They’re tired now and it’s way past their bed time (usually 8pm) but I just don’t feel it’s worth putting them to bed when there are kids yelling and screaming outside their windows just next door. I also feel tremendously guilty that they’re living in a place where their sleep is compromised due to selfish neighbours.

Could they not have a cool shower and you sit and read to them until they drift off?

If you can try to be calm (difficult I know) this will help them 😊

I’m not a fan of it either, also have a dog. Do they have a fan on, or some white noise and ear plugs or noise cancelling head phones perhaps?
It looks like our summers are going to be much warmer going forward, so we will need to find ways to deal with it.
