£22 for water and a soft drink on Easy Jet flight?

Looking at pending transactions in my bank account and there is a payment of £22.29 to EasyJet.

Just flew back from a European country yesterday and on the plane we bought a small bottle of Evian water and a can of Coke.

This £22.29 can't be for that. Can it??

Well they are expensive but not usually that expensive

JimBobsWife · 05/07/2026 19:16

I'd have said no more than £4/5 each for those

You can get access to the inflight menu online

It won't be the water and can of coke. Did they not tell you the total before you paid?

KnewYearKnewMe · 05/07/2026 19:18

Wow - hope not - I’d say 6 quid at most 🤞

SlimShandy · 05/07/2026 19:19

I wouldn't expect to pay more that £7 for that.

BrentfordForever · 05/07/2026 19:20

Doesn’t sound right @LindorDoubleChoc according to their menu below but even based on my previous flights that’s too much

Coke is £2.75 and water £2.85.

This is the inflight menu. I would keep an eye on the transaction. If it’s only an authorisation it might come thru at a lower price.

What did the card reader say in terms of the price? I cannot imagine two soft drinks would add up to that amount.

Ohpleeeease · 05/07/2026 19:28

I would contact your bank ASAP. Sounds like an error but they will look at the transaction and advise. It doesn’t sound right, possibly your purchase has been mixed up with someone else’s.

Sorry, sorry, sorry please ignore me!

That's an extra £22.29 we paid for the privilege of sitting next to each other on a 2 hour flight. DH should have checked with me that I was actually bothered about this having spent 24/7 for 7 days with him Grin.

Oh bless you! 😂

Allonthesametrain · 05/07/2026 19:36

A mistake has been made there, unless it was 5litres of each...

Userengage · 05/07/2026 19:40

Ahaha! I was travelling back from 7 nights with OH, I was in the row ahead on the other side of the plane. He was passing my snack to me when the man next to me asked if we wanted to sit together. I said “ah no it’s ok.” at the same time as OH said “oh yes, if you don’t mind!”.
I could have done with the peace too!

🤣🤣🤣
On the way back from Portugal flying with Ryanair the 4 of us were separated. I'm annoyed that Easyjet couldn't do that on the way out. It was bliss! Funny thing was there was even a spare seat in my row. It's almost like Ryanair say "because you didn't pay for seats, we're going to separate you just because we can. Never mind there's a spare seat right by you".
