For potty trained 2 nearly 2.5 year old is this normal?

Potty trained at 2y2months old

Been going well she's been very good at telling us. Minimal accidents nursery etc

We've come on a sunny week away and she's having bad accidents like will stand and wee herself?

Im not sure why we keep checking etc

Unsure if its because she's so distracted constantly playing lots of hotel entertainment etc?,

Any tips advice please is this normal

We had an utterly horrendous time with DD when she was 2, she used to remove her nappy in the morning. We stayed in an immaculate cottage in France put DD in their pristine travel cot she smeared the while thing with poo. DH and I tried to clean it but we had to fess up and buy a new one.

Good luck OP.

Wouldn’t think it’s unusual. She’s still very young, plus change of scenery. Could be a UTI but just as likely to be the new place, distractions, maybe potty or toilet not as accessible or familiar, etc.

I also remember her standing and weeing next to the pool the following year, all I can recommend is taking your DC before she needs it and before activities.

Holidays are a big thing for toddlers change of environment, hot weather, late nights, distracted by other things, scared of different toilets. I don't have advice apart from just regularly ask her if she needs the toilet but I'm sure you already are it will right itself when she gets home.

DS was potty trained at the same age and we still went through the odd phase of him having accidents for about 6 months. I was told it was normal and I expect a change of scenery like a holiday could be very distracting.

Can you just put her a swim nappy on while you are away. Still encourage her to use the loo as usual.
