London tips?

Hi everyone, please could you help a clueless northerner out? 😂

I'm off to London on Friday for a long weekend with a friend and staying near King's Cross. We've got a fair amount of time to fill but don't have a clue what to do whilst we're there. We're going to a concert over the weekend, but also would love to experience some lesser-known parts of the city.

We're looking for quirky bars, things to see that are a little different. Bonus points for anything gothic and alternative.

Last time I was in London I was a student, so I expect it's changed a bit since then. 😂

Exmouth market/clerkenwell?
Walk down the canal to Broadway market?
There's a thing near kings x called coal drop yard and there's a square thing near the canal. It's all new and they have flats built into the gas towers.
Bloomsbury is quite nice.
You could walk down from Farringdon to st Paul's then cross the foot bright to the Tate modern?
