I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my conservatory spot...ALONE! The alone part is important today - dd1 kept me company until I went to bed last night!

The washer's on to clear some of the overflowing basket before she adds more, the few pots we used last night are soaking & I've had a very quick tidy round for now. I'll take my tablets and sort them for the coming week now, before anything else.

Today will be a pottering kind of day here. Dd2 needs a hand to link her bus app to my card and order a new bus pass ready for college, has a pair of trousers she wants taken up a little bit, and wants to shower early to prepare for her college induction day. Dd1 has the best part of 5 cases to unpack 🙈 and needs to see if she's been scheduled to work this week.

Some of it is going in it's living places here until she moves out again. Goodness knows what the rest is doing! Hopefully what's left will condense into a small case, to live in a big case!

I also need to sort my work bag but that can just be chucked in til the morning.

Dd1's asked for risotto for tea, so risotto it is! Accompanied by a glass of wine for me, and probably something off the shelf with lemonade for dd1. Dd2 may or may not join us.

After that, showers and early nights all round. I'd like to read the end of my book but we'll see 🤔.

I'm back to work tomorrow after I had to take some time off following a bit of a MH episode.
My plan is to be organised and get everything sorted for the week.
Doubtful it'll happen I'll probably be scrolling at 11pm 😆

Good morning @lucysmam , I've been looking for you this morning.

I have been VERY productive already today! I was up putting a load in the tumble dryer and another wash on just after 6.00. I have sorted out several more loads of washing from our holiday unpacking... I think there are 3 loads left now. Faraway daughter stayed here for a bit while we were away and I have her bedding and towels to wash too.

As I finished the last of the unpacking and put things away, I sorted out LOADS of things to put into Vinted. I have photographed it all and am in the process of uploading it now. I have done 4 items and I probably have another 15 to do.

I don't have to go out or see anyone today, so I am just wearing a loose dress with NO BRA! After nearly 2 weeks of having to wear one every day that feel so good! I haven't been able to find one that isn't uncomfortable against my mastectomy scar so I really enjoy days when I can do without it.

I'm going to finish uploading my Vinted items and then take stuff out of the tumble dryer and put another load in. I think Mr Dilemma has already done one lot... but he has now caught the sorting out bug and is going through his own clothes at the moment.

I'm back on my diet properly today, having put on a kilo over my holiday. That is very depressing. So - lunch will probably be soup, and we are having corned beef, salad and baked potatoes this evening. Delicate portions of the corned beef and potato for me... but a LOT of salad.

Boringly Im finishing a work project and cleaning the house which has run out of control. How can I make this much mess when I live alone?
Id sooner drive to the beach or have a walk in the woods.
Ive got a week off coming up so Ill use that week to indulge myself.

Good morning all!

Not planning on leaving the house today. Got plenty to keep me occupied here. About to have a coffee and waste a bit of time reading some threads on here. Then I need to tackle some cleaning. The kitchen and hallway both badly need a hoover and a mop. And there's still a bag of shopping on the floor in the hall from 2 Sundays ago, which I haven't got around to putting away (just cleaning stuff and a few cupboard foods, nothing perishable). I've also got 3 loads of washing that need sorting and putting away. I may even crack the ironing board out!
The sink in the ensuite is draining a bit slow as well, so I'll glug some drain stuff down there and hope for the best.

Dinner tonight will be yellow sticker lamb burgers I got from Asda yesterday, new potatoes and corn on the cob.

In a shade spot in the garden, with coffee. Trying to decide what to do today. It’s too hot for my usual Sunday walk.

Laundry is out on the line, seasoned chicken thighs have been cooked for my meal prep for the next few days. Will add some cous cous, spring onions and tomatoes when its all cooled down.

Teenage DD is off to see her dad later, so I'm off for a walk in the woods and a dip in the river with my sister. Swimsuit already on under my dress. Must remember to put a pair of knickers in my bag, no one wants a drive home in a wet cossie!

Dinner will be cheese, crackers, some thickly sliced gammon I cooked yesterday and a ton of various pickles.

I'm very tired this morning, so I slept until 9, which is very late for me.

I was in work all week and then my Dad ended up in hospital on Friday (he needs surgery), so I visited him on Friday evening and Saturday. I can't visit him today - I need to do some laundry and go shopping. Making a plan for the week and trying to figure out what day they'll discharge him from hospital after the surgery. I have siblings too, so it doesn't all fall to me. But one sibling is unable to help out due to his own medical issues. And the rest of us all work.

I need to make a shopping list, but I usually do a meal plan for the week. Hard to do that when I don't know what days I'll be in with Dad. Might just get some meat and stick most of it in the freezer. At least I can do a proper cooked meal for today.

I was up early, did most of the housework yesterday so enjoyed an iced coffee on the sofa in a nice clean and tidy house! Went out for a 5k run around the park, came home, did some stretches and put a load of washing on, the folded and put away yesterday’s load. Have just finished breakfast, going to get ready and head out to my sisters in about an hour, it’s mum’s birthday so my sister is hosting a barbecue for the whole family. I can’t wait! Later on will be the usual Sunday evening back to work prep, making up lunches, sorting outfits and checking through my lesson plans for tomorrow.

Morning! We’ve had a busy day so far, slept until past 7 but then up and went to circuits together at 930 followed by the supermarket. I have plans to clean out the fridge - bad timing as it’s now full of food so may postpone that. Pottering and aiming to read a few chapters of my book, plus telly for all the sport.

Recovering from dental work yesterday so soup, omelette and smoothies all day.

Played with our new kitten (Moppet), only just finished my tea and toast, listening to Robert Elms on Radio London. The dream! Later I’m going to meet my wonderful sister for an afternoon of cricket at Lord’s, Women’s 20:20 final, England v Oz

Pottering day today here as well. I’ve returned some bits to next, taken the car to the car wash. Topped it with fuel. Stopped by boots and recycled some empties and also got the teenager some toiletries for his trip with school. Had a grocery shop delivered and unpacked and put away and have got 2 loads of washing done.

im going to sit with a cup of tea (2nd of the day) and watch some trash tv and then I will do the ironing from yesterday and clean the living room.

@Davros my first cat was called Moppet! Named after Beatrix Potter's Miss Moppet.

It’s a fab day here in Ireland ☺️.
I’m just sitting here in my sitting room , finishing my coffee , windows open listening to my neighbours pottering around outside .
DD1 gone playing tennis with her friend , DD2 is gone with her bf to a sea side town until Tuesday.
DD3 & DD4 are upstairs getting ready, & DS2 will be here shortly with his gf , we’re all going to the beach for the day 😎.
Must put a picnic together.

Had a lie in this morning- was up at 7am! Which is late for me. Just chilling watching Netflix at the moment. Dp is planning the kitchen we're going to put in at the property we are going to rent out, ds26's girlfriend is over from overseas so they've just gone out, and ds21 stayed out last night as he went to a friends birthday in the city.

10 minutes and I'm going to unload the dishwasher, put a load of washing on and empty the tumble dryer. Food shop is due at 1pm, so will put a chicken in, and do some new potatoes and salad to go with it. Then I have some ironing to do, as I'm away for work 5 nights 😫 so have to pack, as I'll be leaving at 7am.

Dp will be watching F1 this afternoon so I'm going to get stuck into a new book.

‘Morning @lucysmam , what are you reading at the moment? I’m seeking inspiration as I have the concentration span of a gnat at the moment!
So, I was outside pottering around in the garden at 7 this morning, I yanked out the Japanese anaemones that are rampaging across the border and hopefully I can confine the remainder to one spot.
I’ve potted up 20 tomato seedlings grown from the geminated seeds within an over-ripe tomato that was on the windowsill and planted two nemesias and a verbena bonariasis seedling into an old terracotta pot. I also topped up and fed the last potted rose, all the pots are done now.
I’m trying to get on top of it all before my surgery, I think I’ve done it!
There’s a half leg of lamb in the oven, excavated from the depths of the freezer, we’ll have new potatoes and peas with it, treacle tart for pudding with clotted cream.
I’ll do more embroidery this afternoon, sitting in my Shed and listening to podcasts. I’m making the most of it while I can!

Just missed the morning, although i have been awake since 5:45 and up since 8am.
Dropped DS at the airport for his first solo holiday. There was a little crowd of parents in the car park as we weren't allowed to go in 😂
He's quite anxious but hopefully now he is with his mates will settle down.
British F1 this afternoon and a chilled evening.
DH and I have booked the week off, so no back to work Sunday scaries today 😃

Morning all. Am still in bed, was up early then lay back down and fell asleep 😴. We were away for a few days and I didn't sleep well so am all caught up now.

@lucysmam, can I ask for your risotto recipe please 🙏 😋. I love risotto but can never manage to cook it properly.

Afternoon! I’ve been up since around 8.30 but still in my pjs which are really shorts and t shirt! Going out for my friend’s birthday later to paint tote bags in a cocktail bar. I’ll be on the mocktails 😂. Done the bedding and cleaned the bathroom. Need to do some hoovering unless I can persuade DD. DH is sanding the hallway stairs and doors. I’m looking forward to going out although very unusual for me on a Sunday so hoping I can get back and into bed early to get up at 1am for the England match.

Im still in my pjs and we are having a lazy morning. I feel really burnt out at the moment. I have six dc and usually I embrace the chaos and toddle along in my own lane but at the moment it feels a lot. I can’t say it to anyone in real life as obviously it’s a situation my own making 🤣
I am ready for them to finish school. Oh and if dd(21) could stop waking me up at 4am that would be helpful. My eyes feel like they have sand in this morning.
Off to netball this afternoon with dd(15) she had two matches 45 minute drive away with a gap of an hour in between so will probably go and find a coffee shop.
Back around 7 so need to put something in slow cooker thinking maybe chicken, chorizo and cannellini bean casserole.

I got up and went for a swim, came home and showered and dh made us bacon baguettes.
nipping to the shops as dd is on her way back from work in a bit and there’s nothing for her to eat for a speedy lunch before we go and meet the in-laws for a sunny walk this afternoon.
Maybe a bbq for dinner but no firm decisions made on that one yet. Happy Sunday everyone.

Bit late today. Early start dropping children at various places. Met a friend for dog walk which was nice. Back home now and had some lunch and about to read my book.

DH is making chipotle chicken for tea later. I’m going to read and potter about tidying today. Nothing too strenuous.
