Virgin media broadband - reviews?

I'm looking at broadband deals and Virgin media have got the best deal. Ds is gaming more so faster speeds would be useful.

But...the reviews are dreadful especially for new customers getting it set up. Are there any good stories of it being set up easily?!

We've been with Plusnet for years but their deals and speeds are not great anymore.

I'm pretty happy with Virgin Media. Our set up was slow but it was due to cable issue on the street - could not be foreseen I think. They are proactive about detecting poor speed and sorting it out

Terrible and even worse customer service

I think it depends on where you live, I never had any issues with mine but people in a local Facebook group a few miles are always moaning about it being down. My biggest issue was the price, I left for a deal that was nearly half what they wanted to increase my rates to.
