Has perimenopause made anyone else feel overwhelmed by jealousy and paranoia?

Has perimenopause caused severe jealousy in anyone else? I’m totally overwhelmed by it and I feel awful.

I don’t know if it’s hormonal or a combination of hormones plus feeling exhausted and realising I’m not looking so great and getting older? Dh is feeling suffocated as can’t do the things he usually does as I’m so ultra paranoid. It’s awful. The gp won’t see me for 3 weeks I’m not sure if antidepressants might help?

I'd be asking for blood tests to check for any deficiencies OP. Anaemia, thyroid, HbA1c, Vit D etc which might be causing the tiredness. Many sexual health clinics also run menopause clinics, so that is an alternative to your GP. You'd need to ring to check when they are on, if you need to book or if they are 'take a ticket' type on the day.

Is the jealousy a new feeling for you? Perimenopause can definitely make you feel and act out of character, and leave you feeling like you're just not yourself. Anxiety, rage and low self worth can all be part of it

Are you having any other symptoms of peri?

Google says it's well known as a thing due to hormone levels being all over the place. I assume HRT would be the answer.

Never felt jealous at all. I just suddenly felt ‘off’ on one occasion when MIL asked could dh give a lift to her best friends DD and I told dh he couldn’t do it then I’ve just felt like that since

Neither for me.
I dont do jelousy such a wasted emotion.

How old are you OP and are you having any other peri symptoms?
