I started a thread but nobody is replying anymore so im starting a new one. Ive got thyroid issues i had an underacyive which was successfully managed with thyroxine. Suddenly it's overactive and they are trying to get it level. Ive got the usual symptoms such as palpitations a d getting out of breath and have bee. Told to rest as .much as possible. The other side effects is tension headaches. Im getting them frequently. Im taking painkillers which does cure them but then they start up again. I dont want to keep taking painkillers but really dont like the headaches. I had one yesterday. Took painkillers but 5 hours later the headache came back. I put up with it abd went to sleep but thjs morning gave woken up with a throbbimg dull headache. My Gp said tbey are triggered by my overactive thyroid which needs to ve got under control.

Anyone else had this and how did you cope

Yes me. What are they doing to bring your thyroid under control? I’m afraid I just had to keep going with painkillers and make sure I was hydrated. My worst ones were the ones I woke up with. I am a migraine sufferer so headaches are part of life for me.

Once your thyroid starts to come under control your symptoms should start to ease.
