Frozen Pie Question

I froze a fresh Marks and Spencer steak pie. The instructions say defrost before cooking. It's in a freezer in the garage and I don't want to trudge out to get it.

Can I cook it from frozen if I give it a bit longer?

Probably replying a bit late for your dinner, but yes. Cook it at a lower temperature and for a longer time than if it was already defrosted.

Temperature wise, I'd do 30 minutes at 160° to defost it, then another 20 minutes at 200°. Then check how it's doing and maybe up the temperature for another ten minutes or so to crisp up the top if necessary.

If you have a food thermometer it would be very handy in this situation to make sure it's piping hot.

Tomorrow's dinner maybe?
