What to expect from Blenheim Palace concert

Hi,

Just that really. I am going to an outdoor concert on Saturday at Blenheim Palace. There are seats, so I just turn up with a bottle of water and money for food there I think.

Has anyone been before? Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Be prepared for hot, cold and wet weather. We took 2 small rucksacks. Even on a hot day, we found once sun disappeared, it was cold, especially feet in sandals. I ended up in 3 lots of layers, and I'm hardy. If you're going by car, it wasn't organised well for leaving; long queues. If ever you stay locally, avoid Woodstock. All cars turned right towards Woodstock; we turned left and sailed back to our airbnb in Leafield. We took a picnic, which you are able eat in the grounds, outside of the concert area and water bottles have to be under a certain size, but check on their website. Food and drink inside venue is expensive, as you'd expect. Its a beautiful setting for a concert. Have a wonderful time.

@Poppy61 thanks so much. I know it'a not rocket science really, but useful to hear your recommendations.

I went years ago and it takes hours to get out of the carpark after the concert. Old hands were sitting on blankets by their cars having a picnic. Also, there weren’t enough loos!

There were enough loos in 2024, so some things have improved! Have fun.
