Hedgehogs in the garden

I’ve had a hedgehog visiting my back garden for ages, I leave him food and drink
last night a second appeared, on my camera one looks to shove the other then there’s lots of snuggling noise and a bit of a stand off.
one came back later , now I’m wondering when I’ve seen one a few times a night if it was actually 2 visiting

I dont want them fighting! I’m assuming it’s 2 males unless it’s a courting ritual, has anybody got experience of them?
any tips on looking after them?

Oh fab, leave out meat based kitten biscuits, not mealworms, and water. The huffing and shoving could be males standing off against each other, or it could be courtship, they are similar!

Awww. Huffing, snorting and barging each other are normal. Both for a male and female, if the female isn’t interested in the male (who will think he’s a special prince among hogs). And also between two males or two females - but they’re not territorial so don’t worry, they’ll sort themselves out, nothing for you to do. You could put two separate feeding/watering stations at different points in your garden if you’ve got space though. But they’ll probably still do the same, don’t worry. And enjoy them, very lucky you. We’ve got a few in a large garden and they sort of have their own routes and sometimes meet up at the feeding station and have a standoff. It’s handbags at dawn tbh 😁

They huff and puff and shove each other around but they don't cause each other any damage. Love watching ours 😍
