Prolific FB User?!?!

I am in my late 50’s (not sure how relevant) but I still love the concept of Facebook! I find Twitter toxic and Instagram really useful for certain things

I often post a Facebook update and it’s always light hearted with a funny story or share certain things that I have done and I probably post once a week maybe twice if on hols etc.

I bumped into a friend the other day and he told me that I was a “prolific” FB user … I found this a bit strange as I didn’t think I was! He posts a lot as he travels with work but says that is to promote the business he is in.

would you say a FB update once possibly twice a week is prolific?!

He just made it sound a negative whereas I love to see what my friends are up to etc

Interested in other thoughts on this!

Thank you!

I would say that is definitely borderline prolific. You may possibly be the sort of FB friend I’d quietly silence, to be honest. Sorry.

Yes I would - I have FB but never post updates.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 30/06/2026 19:38

I wouldn’t say that was prolific OP. I have a cousin who still checks herself in to Costa - that’s prolific

Dizzydrizzy · 30/06/2026 19:38

Yes. I’ve not posted on FB in about a year. I love TikTok though for shopping

TY78910 · 30/06/2026 20:00

Yes, prolific. That’s because people have drifted from FB several years ago. Even one post a month would be prolific.

Chunkyblacklab · 30/06/2026 20:55

Yes, especially as it sounds like it's "funny" memes or round robin story type things rather than family updates.

WhatWouldMyMamaSay · 30/06/2026 20:58

Very very few of my friends still post on Facebook. So a couple of posts a week does indeed make you a prolific I’m afraid.

XenoBitch · 30/06/2026 20:58

I don't think so. I have people on my FB who post at least 4 times per day. I would say that was prolific, not twice a week.
