If you could choose one trivial superpower, what would it be?

Mine would be to remember everyone's names instantly and forever.

I'm rubbish at it. I try and take advantage of the window of opportunity when it's still not embarrassing to ask them "Sorry, I've forgotten your name," the second or third time I meet them. But when you've been chatting occasionally to someone for literally years, it's a bit awkward. I remember the interesting stuff about people, like their job and where they are going on holiday this summer. Just names that evaporate.

So what trivial superpower would you choose?

Being able to finish everything I start. Instead of forgetting and starting more things.

To not be frightened of spiders

BillieWiper · 30/06/2026 12:14

To be able to move heavy objects via levitation. And that includes myself.

Or just that my bones were so strong that they could never break. That way I could get back on my rolerskates!

As a maternity nurse, being instantly able to soothe a crying baby every time would be great!

Anjo2011 · 30/06/2026 12:15

To know the directions to anywhere and everywhere.

I used to be good with names, but not anymore.
Id like to be good at all things DIY , a kind of super woman builder who can plumb in anything, do electrics and put flat pack furniture together. I know I can learn and have had a go at the basics , but to a total pro at all that would be handy.

Public speaking!

AplineDaisies · 30/06/2026 12:17

To be able to file or discard all paper that comes into the house immediately. Instead of letting piles build up that no one deals with.

EmpressaurusKitty · 30/06/2026 12:32

When in public places, to magically silence all electronic devices making a noise within my hearing range.

DugnuttEyeBoogies · 30/06/2026 13:00

To never absorb the calories in cake

This is a good one.

To be able to clean/remove marks with some kind of instant laser eye rather than having to scrub tiles or walls

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 30/06/2026 13:03

Wasp repeller. I'd like to be able to just think at a wasp and it would change course and head for someone else's picnic.

I expect some parents would go for this one too!
