What would you recomnend to do with a day in Manchester? Never been to the city centre before. Also struggle with mobility so nothing with lots of steps. Ty ☺️

I think the art gallery is fab. Also, if you’re into art, the town hall has a set of Ford Maddox Brown murals.

Chethams Library and Manchester Cathedral are close together and you could wander around The Shambles (look up the history) and Exchange Square nearby. Plenty of cafes and restaurants and benches for a break.

Then onto Royal Exchange Theatre, worth a look inside even if not seeing a show, going past Harvey Nicks and St Ann's Square. Or bus from Victoria station to The Jewish Museum.

There are also two free buses, interlocking circular routes, if you want to go further. Eg, Manchester Art Gallery or Manchester Museum. Download the Bee Network app for public transport.

Still closed for refurbishment I think although the outside scaffolding has now gone i understand.

St Ann's church (baroque not Gothic). The Whitworth gallery - it's whacky. It's also some way from the centre, but a pleasant walk or bus ride.
