Good places to eat near the Shaftesbury Theatre and Fortune Theatre (London)

I'm going to London with friends, and I'm trying to find good places to eat. We are going to the Fortune Theatre (for a matinee) and the Shaftesbury Theatre (for an evening performance on another day). Does anyone know any good places to eat near either of these Theatres please?

They’re very close to each other and these are some of my favourites around that area.

Town on Drury Lane is excellent - https://town.restaurant

If you’re seafood fans then Parsons is also great - https://www.parsonslondon.co.uk

Da Mario is also great but a minimum of 2 courses - https://www.da-mario.co.uk

Barrafina - https://www.barrafina.com

Cora Pearl - https://www.corapearl.co.uk

You’re also very close to Seven Dials market which has lots of different street food vendors - https://www.sevendialsmarket.com

My favourite little Japanese place is Fushan on New Oxford Street. It’s nothing wild or fancy. It’s just genuinely delicious and a lovely little place. I always go there whenever I’m in the neighbourhood.

I find Bancone on William IV Street to be the most reliable place for a pre-theatre meal. The pasta is delicious. The service is really prompt. You will be out on time. No question. And it’s between 5 and 15 minutes walk from basically every West End theatre.

We like to go to Brasserie Zedel

I like Pierre Victoire and Prix Fixe on Dean Street. They are effectively the same place as have near-identical menus of lovely standard French food. Prix Fixe has better spacing between tables.

I go there whenever I'm back in London.

Le Garrick on the corner of Garrick and Floral St is a lovely French bistro.

Thanks all, that's really helpful! Are things like Wahaca ok?

I’ve booked the oxo brasserie for dinner after a show soon - just across the river.
