Bournemouth area - If you had a budget of say 350/400 k, to get a two bedroom house, close as possible branksome beach, what area would you look at .? Wouldn't need to take schools into consideration

Just love the beaches down that way, some people have said to consider the winton area, others have said actually check out Tuckton

I know we can't afford a Seaview house overlooking branksome beach 😂

Southbourne beach area is gorgeous. Near Christchurch. Southbourne Grove has great cafes and restaurants too. There is also a great beach bar called Sobo Beach.

Not sure you would get much for your budget unfortunately, possibly a two bed flat?

Alum Chine or Westbourne also worth a look.

Would rather be a bit further outin a house, personally wouldn't buy a flat because they seem such a con with all the fees plus never really own it properly, due to not owning the land

Alexandra park Area of Parkstone/Lower parkstone you’d get a terrace or semi for that price. Not walkable to the beach but a drive and a walk through Branksome woods or down to sandbanks. Plus close to Ashley cross and Westbourne for social stuff

That's where I lived as a child, Fisherman's Walk. My mother ran a B&B. Great place to grow up, being able to spend time on the beach with friends after school.

I lived there for a couple of years and haven’t visited for a while -(lived all over the place between Cornwall, Herts, London) and to be honest - it’s gone downhill a lot. Avoid Poole, Christchurch. Westbourne is nice, Alum chine too. Sandbanks is just fancy houses to be honest. Bournemouth beach is a bit tacky - get the chain ferry from Poole and drive to beach near Old Harry’s Rocks.

Why avoid Christchurch? It’s nice.
